Pharmacy TechnicianWe are looking for Pharmacy Technicians/Inpatient assist pharmacists who are experienced in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians/inpatient assist pharmacists work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.The Roles and Responsibilities for this role include: Procuring and distributing medications per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols. Replenishing medications in automated dispensing units and emergency drug containers; rotates and manages stock before expiration date; generates reports, pick lists, and labels as required. Preparing intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations (including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition) safely and accurately using appropriate techniques. Compiling with sterile compounding regulations and practices. Repackaging bulk medications in unit-dose packages safely and accurately per established procedures using appropriate techniques. Assisting in ordering, receiving, unpacking, storing and restocking medications and supplies in appropriate locations while maintaining records, pricing updates, and other required documentation accurately. Completing and documenting all assigned medication storage areas inspections at least monthly; identifies and replaces outdated and unusable medications.Experience we're looking for:
2-3 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience

Location: 3rd Floor Pharmacy, Ithaca, NY
Shift: Monday through Friday; 7am-3pm or 7:30am-4pm and Saturday/Sunday 2pm-10pm rotating
