Front Desk: Medical Receptionist and Medical Assistant (Spanish Speaking) (Hempstead, NY) and (Lindenhurst, NY)
Job title: Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant
Medical receptionist and a medical assistant to assist the medical doctor when needed. Medical receptionist at the front desk, scheduling patients, MRI's, patient intake, insurance verification and authorization for a medical doctor office. Working at the front desk with the ability to manage patient volume and schedules. Must project a warm, positive, and professional image in person and on the phone.
Current hours needed: Monday to Saturday.
Duties Include:
New patient intake.
Assisting the medical doctor with vitals and blood work.
Scheduling patients in EMR medical software.
Making appointments and confirming appointments by phone calls, texting and in person.
Making doctor's and physical therapist schedules.
Answering phone calls.
Enter patient demographics into software/EMR.
Enter diagnostics and medical reports into the EMR medical software.
Verify insurance eligibility on work comp, NF, and major medical insurances.
Insurance verification and authorization of a care plan and procedures.
Spanish speaking, we have Spanish speaking patients.
Experienced.

Qualifications
Fluent in Spanish
Medical administrative support experience
Proficient in EMR systems such as Practice Fusion and ChiroTouch
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Strong customer service skills
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems
Familiarity with medical terminology and CPT coding
Previous experience in medical office management
Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite
