POSITION OVERVIEW
A Childcare Worker is a compassionate professional who provides care, structure, and emotional support to youth impacted by trauma. This role goes beyond traditional childcare and focuses on creating a safe, nurturing environment where youth can heal, develop resilience, and build life skills.
You will assist with daily routines, model healthy coping strategies, encourage positive behaviors, and provide trauma-informed care that promotes stability and trust.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience working with youth (especially trauma-impacted youth preferred)
Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices
Strong communication and de-escalation skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Patient, dependable, and empathetic
Preferred (not required):
CPR/First Aid Certification
Coursework or degree in Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
JOB DETAILS
Pay: $17.50 per hour
