Parts runner needed to pick up parts, shuttle technicians to and from job sites and clean offices/rest rooms and perform light building and grounds maintenance.
Pick up parts and materials at various vendors in Suffolk County daily.
Drive technicians to and from work sites.
Snow removal using snow blower and de-Icing walkways
Use forklift to move heavy garbage to dumpster and metal waste bin.
Sweep and mop floors in shop bays.
Maintain grounds by removing rubbish, repairing fences, decorating for holidays
Change light bulbs and HVAC filters. Light painting.
Perform low-level plumbing duties: snake lines, repair toilets, repair leaking sinks.
Assemble sheds, furniture, etc. when needed.
Move furniture and computer equipment when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Clean NYS Driver’s License and driving record.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must speak English.
Basic knowledge of light plumbing, carpenter, painting, and grounds-keeping.
Skill in the use of a variety of tools (including both hand and electric tools and forklift)
Ability to perform tasks required bending, stooping, twist and kneeling and lifting to 40 lbs.
Ability to work overhead and on ladder.
Detailed work ethic, be enthusiastic, committed, proactive and resourceful.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
