Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, physically fit, and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our team. The primary responsibilities include receiving incoming shipments, shipping out products and parts, and loading/unloading trucks. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving: Unload incoming trucks; receive, verify, and inspect all incoming merchandise and parts against purchase orders.
Shipping: Prepare outbound shipments; pick and pack orders accurately for technicians and customers; create shipping labels and documentation.
Loading/Unloading: Safely and efficiently load and unlift trucks using proper equipment and techniques.
Inventory Management: Put away received goods in their designated warehouse locations. Assist in cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Organization: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times. Manage the disposal of packaging materials.
Appliance Handling: Develop expertise in the safe handling of high-end, often heavy and fragile appliances (ovens, refrigerators, etc.).
Team Support: Assist technicians with pulling parts and preparing units for repair in the warehouse.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Proven experience (1+ years) in a warehouse, logistics, or shipping/receiving role.
Ability to consistently lift 50-75 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks (manual and electric) and forklifts.
Strong attention to detail for accurate order picking and receiving.
Basic computer skills for processing shipments and updating inventory (e.g., email, shipping software, simple inventory systems).
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Forklift Certification is a significant plus.
Experience handling high-value, fragile goods (like appliances, furniture, or electronics).
Experience with inventory management software.
Physical Demands:
This role requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. You will be on your feet for most of the shift and will need to bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
