Job Overview:

Switching Power Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality power supply solutions. We are looking for an experienced Electronic Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must be proficient in operating a variety of test equipment, including digital/analog voltmeters, hi-pot meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital voltmeters (DVMs), and computer-based test programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair analog and digital electronic equipment.

Conduct electrical testing and verification of power supply units and components to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, power meters, and other diagnostic tools to test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies.

Perform functional testing as required by project specifications.

Generate customer ATP data from test results.

Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or a related field, or equivalent technical training.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Electronic Test Technician, preferably in power supply or related industries.

Skills:

o Proficiency in using test equipment, such as digital/analog voltmeters, hi-pot meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, DVMs, and computer-based test programs.

o Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits.

o Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

o Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and power supplies.

o Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.

o Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for handling electronic components.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to train a qualified candidate with the right experience and aptitude.

Willingness to occasionally assist in other production areas as needed.
