Duties & responsibilities include but not limited to:
The job requires working in collaboration with the Pastor, the Business Manager and other staff members with a sense of responsibility and initiative that does not demand constant supervision.
General custodial maintenance of parish church materials and facilities (knowledgeable of HVAC, Elevator and Kitchen Exhaust)
Ensure the church and parish rectory buildings are maintained in a clean and
orderly manner.
Perform scheduled 2-3x weekly, monthly, semi-annual, or annual janitorial duties includes dusting, sweeping the floor and mopping.
Assist opening and locking buildings, provide set-up and cleaning of facilities for all activities and events as needed and/or directed.
Able to maintain and/or repair various items on the property as needed.
Maintain inventory supplies and food pantry.
Salting and clearing on sidewalks, stairs and pathways during snow days for all masses and scheduled services.
Assist landscape vendor watering the premise without sprinkler system.
Any other parish duties deemed necessary or request by the Pastor or his delegates.
Available on call when needed for emergency.
