Req Number 116976FlexStaff is seeking a Senior Director, Legal Operations and Contract Management for our client, a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to saving lives every day.This is a full-time, permanent, direct-hire role. Location: in-office role in the Long Island City, Queens area.The ideal candidate has a paralegal certificate, litigation experience and a solid understanding of contract management and legal processes. This role reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day activities supporting legal operations and contract management.

Design and manage processes for legal operations productivity and effectiveness (including contracts, finances, knowledge management and litigation support) using technology, internal reports and corporate policies and processes.

Respond to routine legal and/or contract administration issues and incoming legal requests.

Establish preferred outside counsel panel and manage outside counsel relationships including monitoring and reporting on outside counsel spending data.

Identify and implement legal department tools to streamline new or existing practices, as well as managing design, rollout, and training for new systems.

Perform cross-departmental trainings on legal policies and procedures.

Deliver weekly litigation reports to Chief Compliance Officer.

Conduct and manage litigation hold process.

Initiate and maintain the contract management system to manage contracts from inception to execution, including running status reports, renewal and termination reports.

Coordination with other departments regarding contract submittals and responses.

Maintain inventory and repository of all master agreements, templates and related supporting documentation.

Track contract key milestones and deadlines, identity and notify key stakeholders accordingly.

Gather information to pinpoint common contracting pain points; collaborate with Chief Compliance Officer to draft preferred clauses.

Draft legal documents such as contracts, statements of work.

Draft boiler-plate templates and standard forms.

Create library of approved contract terms and proactively seek ways to improve current processes to enhance productivity, workflow and improve efficiency.

Keep Chief Compliance Officer informed of legal operations and contract management status to maintain a shared vision for outcomes.

Support corporate governance in the recording, management and retention of data and information required for supporting the Board of Directors committees and meetings and bylaws.

Maintain records, file and manage documents.

Data entry and analytical tasks.

Provides administrative and operation support to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Follow standard operating procedures to ensure compliance of self and others with legal operations, contract management, corporate compliance and regulatory compliance programs and projects.

QualificationsEducation and Experience:

Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.

Paralegal Certificate required.

10+ years litigation and contract experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey information (written and verbal) to others in a clear and concise manner. Communicate with clients, other paralegals and attorneys.

Must be proficient at understanding and interpreting legal documents.

Excellent research skills relating to laws and regulations.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues.

Ability to assess and handle risk in a complex environment.

Teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to lead organizational change, ongoing learning and overall technology adoption.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and problem solve.

Proficient with technology for electronic fling and document management and online research.

Ability to work well under pressure.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
