Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Business Systems Analyst with Software Development Skills.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to identify opportunities for business process improvements leveraging automation, systems integrations, and system augmentation.
  • Must be able to work independently to implement certain solutions and manage implementation teams for more complex projects. The candidate should possess project management capabilities.
  • Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess programming skills in areas such as C#, PowerShell, SQL, SSIS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Business Systems Analyst with Software Development Skills will perform any combination of the following tasks:
  • Review feature/process requests for existing enterprise-wide business systems. Interface with business process owners/data owners to document/deliver required functional specifications, propose and refine solutions; and implement solutions
    • For smaller requests, work independently on the implementation life cycle to achieve the business requirement
    • For larger requests, lead and assist the technology team through the implementation life cycle to achieve the business requirement
  • Responsible for preparing well - documented Functional Specifications for assigned projects, Test Plans, test cases and coordinating with the technical team to ensure proper testing is performed and properly documented
  • Participate in, and document, data mapping for integration of systems, conversion, and acquisition-related projects to understand how applications may need to change or be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, other system enhancements or business initiatives.
  • Business systems development, implementation and operations
  • Lead team of software developers and business system analysts
  • Manage business systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Concur, Salesforce, ADP Workforce Now) and the integration between these systems
  • Engage with various Cloud and SaaS Providers (e.g., Microsoft O365, AWS, Salesforce, ADP, etc.)
  • Schedule and facilitate team meetings and document and distribute meeting minutes as applicable
  • Coordinate and provide estimates for large projects inclusive of timelines and resource requirements
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and participate in the authoring of project related updates for consumption by management
  • Serve as subject matter expert to consult and advise on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, like an acquisition or major change in products/services provided to customers
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and ensure efficient and timely resolution of issues arising from testing or implementation to ensure expected performance. Ensure issues, incidences and questions are documented, reported, and resolved as required
  • Coordinate and manage post implementation by getting feedback, resolving any issues, and completing adebrief
  • Perform data analysis as a function of troubleshooting complex processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills Required:
  • Ability to work independently to implement basic solutions and with a team for more complex requirements
  • Translate non-technical business requirement to technical/implementation team(s)
  • Well-spoken individual capable of taking complete ownership of assigned projects
  • Ability to summarize complex details into simplified but effective PowerPoint style bullet points
  • Ability to develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive schedules
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic and demanding environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing and evolving requirements
  • Familiar with data constructs and report writing

Additional Beneficial Skills:
  • Prior experience with Cloud migrations and SaaS implementations a plus
  • Prior experience with software development tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence a plus
  • Programming skills in areas such as C#, PowerShell, SQL, SSIS a plus
  • Experience with some of the following applications a plus:
    • Microsoft O365, Concur, ADP Workforce Now, Salesforce, Cognos, IBM Planning Analytics (aka TM1)
  • Experience working with APIs a plus

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent experience in an associated field
  • 10+ years related experience
