Req Number 97953Job DescriptionReceives, sorts, stores, transports and issues soiled and new Hospital linens and uniforms.Job Responsibility

Verifies that bagged laundry received has been sorted correctly and when necessary, separates incorrectly bagged soiled linen according to color and type.Places sorted laundry in appropriate carts.

Performs a variety of duties such as distributing carts with fresh linens to floors, pushing filled carts to platform for transmittal to laundry, and maintaining work area in a clean and orderly condition by sweeping floors, arranging carts, etc.

Receives soiled uniforms and dispenses clean one to appropriate employees over counter in Linen Department.

Stocks new linen inventory in department storeroom and stamps new linen, in accordance with established procedures.

Confers with other departments such as Nursing, to coordinate distribution of uniforms, as directed.

Performs related duties, as required.

ADA Essential FunctionsJob Qualification

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions is essential.
