Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team at the Marlton Hotel.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions including AP, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of our organization.
Duties:
Perform accounts payable functions for restaurant & hotel including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Reconcile monthly statements from vendors and ensure all invoices are entered timely and accurately for reporting and payment processing.
Conduct accounting reconciliation of expenses, daily drops, petty cash, payment & credit cards.
Assist in journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation tasks to ensure timely Monthly Financial Statements.
Reconcile Travel Agent Commissions monthly.
Maintain financial records in compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage.
Requirements
Proficiency in accounting software preferred (QuickBooks, Sage) and financial software applications.
Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy (10 key typing).
Understanding of basic accounting and financial concepts including debits & credits and journal entries.
Strong analytical skills for account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
