HIRING Direct Support Professional (DSP) - in Queens (Free Family Medical Ins.)
AHRC NYC is looking to immediately hire Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Full and Part-time positions in QUEENS. The pay rate for this position is between $20+ per hour depending on residence placement and position.
Description:
-The oversight of all safety and health considerations
-Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
-Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
-Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
(40hr) Morning/Day/Evening shifts- Driver's License Required
(40hr & 30hr) Overnight positions - Drivers License NOT Required.
Qualifications:
-High school education/GED required.
- Must be able to read/speak fluent English
-Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
-Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
-Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
-Ability to use a computer for data entry.
