Interior design firm is seeking experience design associate, collaborating with senior designers to create design concepts based on client requirements and project parameters, including selecting colors, materials, furniture, and finishes, sourcing products, and overseeing installations to ensure the design vision is accurately implemented, while collaborating closely with clients.
Previous experience in hi-end firm is required.
Develop mood boards, sketches, and preliminary design layouts.
Prepare detailed design presentations for client review.
Technical Drawings and Documentation:
Produce technical drawings including floor plans, elevation views, and detailed specifications.
Create accurate space planning layouts considering functionality and flow.
Prepare project documentation such as material selections and vendor lists.
Participate in client meetings to understand project goals and gather feedback.
Communicate design concepts and changes to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Manage client expectations regarding budget and timeline.
Research and identify potential vendors for furniture, lighting, and other design elements.
Obtain quotes and manage product ordering to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve any issues related to product quality or installation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD) for creating technical drawings is must!
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with clients
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
Experience in sourcing products and managing vendor relationships
