Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Non Profit industry, located in New York City! This position is contract to hire, and fully onsite at their Downtown office. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity and will require the candidate to handle a variety of responsibilities related to accounts payable, vendor relations, and customer service.Key responsibilities: Accurately process and compute customer credit applications and vendor invoices. Maintain precise records of customer credit and vendor payments. Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to existing procedures, policies, rules, regulations, and laws. Review and reconcile petty cash replenishments, travel expenses, and credit card statements. Respond promptly and professionally to all vendor inquiries. Collaborate with program/supporting service staff to obtain necessary documentation for payment. Match invoices with purchase orders and ensure appropriate receipts are obtained for all goods and services. Utilize MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Microsoft Excel to maintain and monitor customer accounts. Undertake special projects as required, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills. Maintain a thorough and accurate filing system in accordance with the agency policy and accounting practices.Requirements Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) management Excellent vendor relations skills Experience in using Microsoft Excel Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Previous experience in the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry is preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
