The associate will travel to events, conferences and trade shows where required. The associate will travel to trade events (approx. 3-4 per year) and will be expected to travel to attend in-person meetings at SDx hub locations based on an agreed schedule.Job Purpose Overview:The priority for this role is to lead the Pet Professional (PRO) pillar of the At-Home Diagnostics division to deepen penetration and awareness of a portfolio of At-Home testing, including genetics, into the global pet professional space. This role supports our efforts to further diversify our business into new segments, accelerating our growth in our B2B2C channels, veterinary and breeder across our core markets (US, UK, EU), emerging marketings APAC & ANZ, and team development. The primary focus is accelerating the uptake of genetic testing by veterinarians and breeders to improve health outcomes for cats and dogs.With over 20 years’ experience genetic testing and 4+million pets tested, Wisdom Panel is the market leader in DNA testing for cats and dogs. The priority for this role is to put Wisdom Panel on the map as the global leader in genetic testing for pet professionals, building upon existing relationships and establishing more opportunities for B2B partnerships within veterinary and breeder communities. This role supports our efforts to diversify the business into new segments, transforming our growth in our B2B channels.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:B2B PARTNERSHIPS

Articulate value, encourage, sell and position the value of Wisdom’s Pet Professional and B2B Solutions to the chosen market segments, Veterinary and Breeder.

Manage existing and develop a strong pipeline of strategic B2B partnership opportunities for Wisdom Panel in pursuit of revenue growth and scalability, both internally across Mars and externally.

Identify opportunities to build white label partnerships to drive revenue growth, new market entry.

Aligning with key stakeholders across R&D, product, marketing, operations, finance to enable efficient onboarding and management of partnerships with internal and external organizations.

Play a key role within the Mars Petcare Ecosystem to identify and implement new partnership opportunities that drive mutual value for all stakeholders.

Network, build and maintain relationships with internal/external partners and industry influencers to develop connections that provide opportunities for partnerships.

Lead, coach, & mentor a high-performing, team ensuring alignment with business goals and individual professional development.

B2B MARKETING

Brand building: oversee the brand positioning and messaging of Wisdom’s Pet Professional and B2B Solutions ensuring alignment with overall business direction; includes website, events, packaging and sales materials.

Training and education programs: support the efforts to drive awareness of veterinary and breeder propositions to position Wisdom as the partner of choice for genetic testing across trade shows, webinars, workshops, PR and other channels to improve understanding of products.

Credibility building: establish partnerships aligned to establishing trust and boosting credibility of Wisdom Panel amongst pet professionals, partnering closely with R&D to amplify research publications to the industry.

Sales toolkits: develop the materials needed to be able to pitch the Wisdom Pet Professional and B2B value propositions to new partners both internally and externally.

Marketing strategies: manage the B2B Marketing team to develop and execute marketing strategies to drive awareness and adoption of genetic testing amongst pet professionals.

GTM strategies: responsible for building and managing GTM plans for new product features and partnerships.

Marketing Budget management: develop and manage the B2B budget, ensuring optimal allocation of spend for maximum impact.

B2B PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape in the global pet professional market to influence the strategic direction of the product roadmap for Wisdom’s B2B solutions.

Understand and interpret the needs of partners, collaborating closely with Product Managers to translate those needs into new product features to support Wisdom’s B2B Solutions (enterprise capabilities). Gather feedback from users and continuously improve the integration based on their input.

Continue to develop the B2B channel partnership playbooks, defining efficient operating models for enterprise solution deployment.

Build strong understanding of the veterinary PIMS market, understanding what is necessary to implement partnerships successfully and with scalability in mind. Partner with Engineering and Product stakeholders to inform business need to facilitate integration.

MARKET EXPANSION

Identify and pursue new market opportunities globally, evaluating potential for growth and expansion.

Conduct pilot tests to learn about new market opportunities, building proof points for future growth defining the business case for investment.

Education and Experience:

At least 10+ years business development, strategy, marketing (B2B) and preferably within a Veterinary, Breeder or Human Health space

Proven experience leading and managing a team, with a strong ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Proven track record of developing, executing and successfully managing B2B/enterprise partnerships and driving growth within the pet professional or similar sectors

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) or equivalent veterinary degree from an accredited institution a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of genetics principles and their application to veterinary medicine and companion animal breeding

A very strong sense of ownership and accountability for commercial delivery.

Strong executive presence, stakeholder management capabilities, demonstrated by the ability to develop and cultivate relationships both internally and externally.

Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish credibility with breed registries, breeders and veterinary professionals

Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Ability to learn market dynamic and new product concepts and product features quickly and make good use of all their capabilities in a new market / territory.

Travel:Will there be notable travel in this position? Yes, domestic & international – this role will work with global, local & external partners.Percent of time: 30%The Target Pay Range for this position is $149,040 - $186,360 annually.
