What the day will look like: The Director of Product, Digital Insurance Marketplace will provide Product leadership for a material part of our platform focused on the end-insured’s digital insurance application experience, lead-conversion, and insurance product configuration across all of our distribution channels. Our InsurTech platform provides both B2B and B2B2B solutions at a global scale through first-party, strategic partners, and private-labeled solutions. We are looking for an experienced product leader who will be working closely and collaboratively with senior leaders in Product, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Business Development teams, and with our customers. You will help set direction, articulate product vision and strategy, and deliver results that impact our customer segments in measurable ways. Direct management experience will be very important and will lead 1-2 Product Managers upon hire, working with a cross-functional team of many in Engineering subject areas fields. Growth in people management is possible over time with strong performance. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong understanding of the digital insurance landscape as well as demonstrate competency in digital product management and people leadership. A candidate who can balance the trade-off between long-term strategy and near-term value creation is sought. The candidate will be expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to demonstrate experience leading cross-functional stakeholders with varying perspectives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work as part of an elite organization and lead large-scale initiatives that have global reach, improve our customers’ experience, and impact operational teams across the organization. Essential Job Functions: We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work cross-functionally to:

Define the product vision and roadmap, and lead the product teams responsible for acquiring new customers, lead-conversion, and defining insurance products.

Directly manage Product Managers as well as mentor/coach other team members

Lead digital products or services end to end including conception, launch, and scale in coordination with cross-functional teams

Conduct strategic analyses, customer/competitor research, and market sizing

Own customer discovery and continuous evaluation of product-market fit

Collect, analyze, and synthesize both quantitative and qualitative user data including using artificial intelligence and machine learning models where appropriate

Develop, test, and launch new products and features

Analyze and handle product performance to meet company goals and targets

Communicate clearly among the various stakeholders and manage their expectations

Work closely with designers, engineers, operations, sales, marketing, and business teams to ship high quality, user-centric products and features

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Professional:

10+ years of experience in product management or related discipline

Experience with InsurTech or FinTech platforms and components is a plus

Has led an impactful product team and experience mentoring/coaching others on core product management skills

Ability to think strategically and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

Demonstrated success in defining, building, and launching full-scale digital products that had a positive business impact

Driven product decisions that materially and quantifiably drove the business forward through deep understanding & analysis of business metrics

Strong analytical abilities and deep experience with data tools to measure business performance and product adoption

Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done

Strong consensus and relationship-building skills

Proven track record in influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority

Comfortable working in an agile and dynamic environment

Outstanding communication skills across all mediums (presentations, stories, verbal)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree. Master’s or other advanced degree /certification welcomed

Field of study in a relevant aspect of digital technology including software development, computer or systems engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, entrepreneurship, or related.

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $230,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
