Job DescriptionTHIS POSITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO CANDIDATES WHO HAVE RETIRED FROM CITY SERVICE. THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME 20 HOURS A WEEK. PENSION AND BENEFITS CAN STILL BE COLLECTED WHILE EMPLOYED IN THIS POSITION.The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish. Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner for Discretionary Programs and program unit Directors, the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is seeking to hire a Silver Stars-Contract Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring that Discretionary contracts submitted – which typically range from $5,000 to $4,000,000 each year – are reviewed, and processed to completion in a timely fashion by assigned program managers. The Contract analyst would perform the following duties: - Assist the Director of Discretionary Contract Review & Compliance in reviewing and approving program plans and budgets.

Review for completion Vendor Contract Submissions that program managers have moved to Vendor

Document Approval queue status.

Work with program managers to obtain any necessary follow-ups to Vendor Contract Submissions.

Provide additional support and follow up as assigned

Qualifications

There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position. However, the ability to understand and carry out simple instructions is required.

Candidates must be able to understand and be understood in English.
