Public Records in South Brooklyn is looking for a professional pm line cook (35-40hrs, 4 day work weeks avail) // AM PREP //BAKER to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu execution. An interest and understanding of vegan cuisine is mandatory as is willingness to and grow with the company.
We are a small team and all work together to make it happen, this is a great position for someone who does not want to be stuck doing one thing.
weds,thurs,fri,sat pm availability is a must for PM LINE
21.50 per hour, 4 day work weeks
Responsibilities include:
Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
Baker compensation based on experience
Ideal candidate for the Baker position has 5+ years experience working in a bakery/commercial kitchen
Knowledge/experience with vegan/gluten-free baking is mandatory
The ideal candidate is:
- punctual, reliable, with good problem solving skills, and can work well with others and by themselves
-Comfortable with working for 8+ hours, standing, lifting, packing, portioning etc
-Ability to weigh, mix and bake products based on recipes and kitchen standards
-Attention to detail, thoughtful and organized in your work
