We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Pastry Chef to join our talented team. Salary: 55K / year.

Position Overview:

As an Assistant Pastry Chef, you will work closely with our Pastry Chef to create and execute a diverse range of delicious and visually stunning pastries and desserts. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, and a keen eye for detail. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our pastry offerings and contributing to our restaurant’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and production of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to our recipes and standards.

- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all pastry items.

- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to develop new dessert ideas and seasonal offerings.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, and assist with ordering as needed.

- Provide guidance and training to junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.

- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues related to pastry production and equipment.

Qualifications:

- Experience as a Pastry Cook or Assistant Pastry Chef, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bakery setting.

- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation.

- Excellent attention to detail and a creative approach to dessert creation.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
