BUTLER is looking for an experienced PASTRY COOK/PRODUCTION COOK to join our kitchen team of professionals at our Brooklyn and Soho locations. www.butler-nyc.com

Job Description:

Daily preparation of all a la carte dishes- mainly breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and grain bowls

Work with FOH to establish and meet prep levels for the current menu

Work with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure quality and consistency of the menu

Daily prep or mis en plus of all ingredients needed for the current menu

Daily quality checks of products.

Qualification Requirements:

-Minimum 3 years’ experience in a cafe/restaurant working on a fast -pace kitchen line

-Prior experience working in a busy all day cafe concept is an asset

-Experience with service and expediting

A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries

-Prior experience with laminated dough, cake mixes and breads

-Experience with service and expediting

-Knowledge of how to work with a dough sheeter

-Dependable and hard-working

-Sociable and friendly to staff and guests. We believe personality is your biggest asset.

-Maintain a clean, sanitary & well-organized kitchen at all times.

-Train staff in proper cleaning procedures as well as protocols and guidelines set by the Dept. of Health.

-Must be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards (NYC Food Handler's License is mandatory).

-Must be available to work on early/opening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
