Barista Role
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in great service and loves coffee culture. You’ll be responsible for crafting drinks, maintaining the bar, helping guests with orders, and keeping the café flowing with warmth and professionalism.
Responsibilities
Prepare espresso-based drinks and specialty beverages (training provided)
Assist customers with orders (both counter + table QR orders)
Handle transactions and coordinate with the kitchen
Keep the bar and workspace organized, clean, and stocked
Communicate daily with the team to improve flow and efficiency
Represent Awaze's welcoming, creative vibe
You Are
Reliable, punctual, and calm under pressure
Passionate about hospitality, coffee, and culture
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Excited to grow with a new café concept in Harlem
Bonus Skills
Prior barista or café experience
Familiarity with espresso machines, grinders, or latte art
Knowledge of Ethiopian coffee/food culture and hospitality

Check in on guests to ensure satisfaction
Serve beverages, including wine and beer
