Niku X NYC Hiring: Server
We’re Niku X — a busy, modern Japanese BBQ & Hotpot spot where the grill’s loud, the broth’s steamy, and the nights actually print money. We’re looking for a Server to run tables, deliver a sick guest experience, and keep the dining room flowing like a well-choreographed chaos anthem.
Your role in one sentence:
You’re the vibe translator between kitchen fire & guest delight.
What you’ll do:
Guide guests through our menu, make recs, and take orders confidently
Deliver food, drinks, and sauces while keeping the flow clean & consistent
Handle table needs, be aware, anticipate like you can low-key read minds
Manage payments accurately
Maintain cleanliness & organization between turns
Collaborate with hosts, runners, and bussers to keep service seamless
Keep energy up even when the restaurant hits peak mode
We’re looking for someone who:
Moves with urgency, but talks with warmth
Isn’t afraid of pressure — smoke & speed are normal here
Loves teamwork and guest interaction
Has some restaurant experience, or is a fast learner
Communicates in English clearly (basic is totally fine)
Is reliable, punctual, and actually shows up
Is capable of long shifts, staying alert, lifting trays, handling plates
