We are seeking a Part-Time Host/Hostess to join our team at one of New York’s oldest cigar bars and lounges. This is a bar and lounge where indoor smoking is permitted (cigars and cigarettes only). Exceptional customer service and professionalism are essential.
Schedule and Availability
Fridays, 7 PM – Close
Thursdays: 7 PM – Close
Saturdays: 7 PM – Close
(Close is typically 12–2 AM)
Applicants must be available for all three shifts.
Must be 21 or older.
Requirements
Availability to start on Thursday, Friday and Saturday shifts.
Please include your hospitality experience and start availability.
Submissions must include both a resume and headshot to be considered.
Responsibilities
Greet guests and check IDs
Manage reservations and waitlists
Seat guests, provide menus and water
Answer phone calls and handle inquiries
Coordinate with servers to ensure smooth service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front area
Note: We do not use a reservation app — all reservations are handled via phone and email.
Qualifications
Previous experience in high-volume hospitality or customer service
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to stand for extended periods
About the Role
We’re looking for someone eager to learn and grow within hospitality. Our hosts often move up to server positions as they develop.
