Responsibilities and Duties
Must have excellent organizational, communication and inter-personal skills.
Schedules patient appointments in person and over the phone
Pulling and filing of medical charts
Promote and maintain professional work environment
Perform general clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, faxing, data entry, filing, etc.)
Verifies patient insurance prior to appointment
Obtains insurance authorization as needed for evaluations and initial evaluations, continue of treatments
Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Assists patients by applying heat packs; paraffin dips; helping patients onto exercise equipment.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area; positioning equipment for therapist access; positioning patient on equipment.
Must be proactive and self-motivated.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous experience with front desk medical office and billing a plus!
Compensation based on experience.
