Paralegal
Our client, a Personal Injury firm located in Queens, NY, is currently looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their team.
Ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience providing support to a dedicated NY Personal Injury attorney through all phases of cases from intake to trial. This includes assisting one attorney with daily tasks such as drafting documents, filing documents, organizing files, client communications, scheduling.
This candidate should feel comfortable conducting research, doing data entry, scheduling, maintaining case files, and completing other ad-hoc requests, as needed.
Responsibilities
Assist with case management
Organize and electronically file pleadings
Intaking cases after they have been vetted and accepted.
Make clients initial medical appointments for treatment, MRI’s and surgeries.
Reviewing court file for approval of medications, surgeries, MRIS and all other pending treatments.
Prepare files for issue of court proceedings.
Keep the client regularly informed
Drafting S&C/BP’s/discovery docs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
3+ years' as a Paralegal working at a Plaintiff NY Law Firm.
