MunnWorks, LLC a custom furniture & metal fabrication company which caters to luxury hospitality and housing industries. We work with architects across the US to fabricate high-end metal structures and furniture. We have an 80,000-square foot manufacturing facility in Brooklyn, NY with state-of-the-art equipment.
We are seeking to hire an estimator for our Architectural Metal Fabrication division ASAP. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating and sales, with a solid understanding on how to evaluate contract specifications and drawings, identify requirements, obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors, calculate quantities and costs, and prepare offers that win contracts.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints and contract documents to prepare labor & material estimates.
Consult with clients, vendors, and management to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
Prepare estimates for bids, quotes as well as planning, organizing and scheduling work.
Maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Follow up with clients and maintain relationships.
Requirements
Strong math and analytical skills as well as an eye for details.
Must be able to read and understand Contract Documents and Blueprints.
Must be proficient in the use of computers, MS Office, Auto CAD.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Must be able to learn, understand and apply new rules and regulations.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Job may require field, vendor, and client visits.
