Job Title: Lead Cabinet Maker in High End Residential Millwork
The Cabinet Maker leads the cabinet-making team, ensuring the production of high-quality custom cabinetry and furniture. This role involves overseeing the entire cabinet-making process, from design interpretation to final installation, while actively participating in hands-on production and ensuring that all work meets the company's standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in hands-on production, working alongside the team to craft the custom millwork and casework
Proficiency in using a variety of woodworking tools and machinery such as sliding table saw, shaper, routers, hand tools.
Lead and supervise a team of cabinet makers, ensuring efficient and high-quality production.
Interpret design specifications and blueprints to guide the cabinet-making process, select materials, veneers and solid woods for production based on finish specifications
Strong knowledge of different types of wood materials and their properties, understanding their use in millwork projects.
Plan and prioritize work schedules to meet project deadlines, delegate manufacturing processes to the team
Ensure all cabinetry millwork and casework are crafted to the highest quality standards.
Train and mentor team members, promoting skill development and adherence to best practices.
Conduct quality control checks at various stages of production.
Collaborate with operations manager and CAD draft department on project requirements are met.
Maintain and repair woodworking tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Manage inventory and order materials as needed to prevent delays in production.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workshop.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process, problem solve production issues.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in cabinet making, with a strong portfolio of previous work in the high-end residential millwork
and casework manufacturing filed.
Proven supervisory or leadership experience in high end residential millwork environment - references required.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and design specifications.
Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, able to work on multiple projects and manage demanding
projects.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
40-hour OSHA Construction Safety and Health Training certification.
Stress Tolerance: Accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification or formal training in cabinet making or a related field.
Experience with CNC machines and other advanced woodworking equipment.
Familiarity with project management software.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year (+ bonus if production goals met)
