Studio Practice is a growing fabrication shop in the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area, specializing in millwork for high-end retail and residential projects. We build custom freestanding and built-in pieces. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic team and lead our projects to successful completion.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex millwork and architectural projects. This role requires a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of the industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing projects from inception through to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple millwork projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company standards.

- Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget. Oversee project execution, addressing any issues or changes that arise.

- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear, effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

- Team Management: Coordinate with internal teams, including designers, engineers, and craftsmen, to ensure seamless project execution. Provide guidance and support to project team members.

- Quality Assurance: Monitor and enforce quality control standards to ensure that all work meets or exceeds client expectations and regulatory requirements.

- Budget Management: Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and financial tracking. Implement cost-saving measures where possible.

- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact. Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience: Minimum of (10) years of experience in project management within the millwork or architectural industry, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree, PMP or equivalent certification in a related field is highly desirable.

- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in project management software and tools.

- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of millwork and architectural processes, materials, and industry standards. Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations.

- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to address and resolve complex issues in a timely and effective manner.
