Assistant Credit Manager

The World’s Best Cheeses is a rapidly growing Westchester County based business looking to add a talented individual to work hand in hand with our Credit Manager to run the A/R Department.

You will be joining our 9-person A/R Department with a large portion of your day spent helping our Credit Manager and our 8 A/R Assistants.

Responsibilities:

- Work side by side with the Credit Manager to oversee the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash application - Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any billing discrepancies.

- Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts and take appropriate actions

- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and resolve issues

- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and payment history

- Work closely with our Controller to generate financial reports related to Accounts Receivable for management review

- Implement and enforce credit policies and procedures to minimize bad debt risk

- Work with ownership to discipline employees when necessary

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting

- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or similar role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks accordingly

- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite

- Excellent organizational and time management skills

- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Benefits:

- Starting Salary is $75,000

- Medical benefits for one person (oxford) eligibility starts after 90 days of employment (80% paid by employer)

- Paid time off benefits start after 60 days. They include vacation after 6 months, personal days, and major holidays.

- 2 weeks vacation and 5 personal days per year (this will be prorated for your first year)

- 401K plan with 4% match available after 1 year

- Paid holidays include New Years: 1.5 days, Presidents day, Good Friday (half day), Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas (1.5 days)

- Annual salary review each Feb 1st
