We are a Brooklyn based flowershop looking to fill a part-time position in our shop.
We are seeking an experienced and talented floral design to join our team! Our ideal candidate
should be able to work efficiently under pressure, listen attentively to customer requests, and be receptive to constructive feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Create floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, events, and everyday orders
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Manage the storefront, including handling sales transactions, stocking inventory, and merchandising displays
- Take care of floral maintenance, including watering, pruning, and ensuring flowers are kept fresh
- Handle orders, deliveries, and coordinate with suppliers when needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a floral designer with training in floral design
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Stylish and creative eye for design and arrangement
- Great listening skills and ability to understand customer needs
- Receptive to feedback and open to learning new techniques
- Retail experience and familiarity with working in a storefront
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work weekends (Open Mon-Sat) and holidays, as needed
