Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations within scheduled timeframes.
2. Load and unload packages and ensure they are securely placed in the delivery vehicle to prevent damage during transit.
3. Plan and organize delivery routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions and delivery priorities.
4. Provide excellent customer service by greeting recipients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience during deliveries.
5. Verify and record package information, including the recipient's name, address, and any special delivery instructions, to maintain accurate delivery records.
6. Monitor and maintain the condition of the delivery vehicle, promptly reporting any mechanical issues to the management.
7. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe and responsible driving practices.
8. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to provide updates on delivery status and address any delivery-related challenges.
9. Handle cash payments, collect signatures, and maintain proper documentation for COD (Cash on Delivery) orders.
10. Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
11. Follow strict delivery schedules to meet daily, weekly, and monthly delivery targets.
12. Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and courteousness when interacting with customers and fellow team members.
Requirements:
1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Previous experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
3. Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to [insert weight] pounds.
