Requisition Number: 202104185The Senior QA Analyst will have the responsibility of performing quality assurance duties and providing testing expertise, guidance, and oversight. The Quality Assurance Analyst also plays a role in providing advice, guidance and monitoring emerging technologies on large and complex international web/mobile application used within the automotive industry. This self-starter will be responsible for establishing quality gates to address the increased complexity and pace of modern application development and delivery. They will build and execute the manual and automated testing within our pipeline through use of Continuous Integration, Testing, and Delivery (CI/CT/CD) methods within modern agile processes like Test and Behavior Driven Development, familiar with contract and unit tests in technologies like Protractor/Angular, Mountebank / PACT, etc. Working under experienced technical architects and leads, this is an opportunity to join an exceptional team and work in a startup environment on projects that will be used by both end consumers and employees of the largest automobile manufacturers around the world.
  • Drives test strategy conversations and defines individual test cases, integrated end-to-end test scenarios and validation criteria.
  • Develop and deliver quality gates for a variety of high profile, accessible and standards-compliant web and mobile projects
  • Analyzes user stories and technical requirements for validity and technical soundness.
  • Ensures system and software quality by writing, maintaining, running, analyzing the family of tests (e.g., unit, functional, integrated, regression, automated, exploratory, performance, end-to-end, contract) during code development.
  • Analyzes and synthesizes actual results compared to expected results, troubleshoots, and assists in the diagnosis of unintended results, and logs errors to investigate cause.
  • Communicates test results to stakeholders.
  • Supports user acceptance testing as needed.
  • Coordinates testing activities with remote teams as needed.
  • Actively works with less experienced QA analysts providing technical guidance and oversight.
  • Leads troubleshooting of problems and assists in getting problems appropriately prioritized, assigned, fixed, tested, and closed.
  • Work with colleagues and technical resources to define technical solutions that meet business requirements using agreed tools and technologies
  • Develop solutions in-line with in-house standards and practices
  • Consistently exhibits a positive attitude and desire to help the team to succeed
  • Actively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new testing technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization.
  • Contribute to the on-going development of best practices, identification of suitable new tools and system and service improvements
  • Perform complex application testing activities (manual and automated) in the latest technologies.
  • Establish contract and end-to-end tests that are scalable, accessible and renders effectively across multiple browsers, operating systems, and device types (Desktop, mobile, tablet, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other developers on different permutations to find the best solution possible.
  • Deliver amazing quality solutions to production that knock everyones socks off.

Compensation:
  • Compensation includes a base salary of $83,700 - 117,300. Salary may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidates experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or and incentive program.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
  • Where permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to be considered for this U.S. based job. (Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will be considered.)
  • The only state where it is not applicable by law now is Montana
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Working experience in software development and/or testing
  • Working experience with software testing tools and processes, testing frameworks, and consumer-facing applications and databases
  • Working experience with regulatory standards testing processes
  • Working experience with creating and maintaining test scripts in an automated testing framework
  • Working experience in delivering software products in an engineering or operations role
  • Working experience in development lifecycle methodologies (e.g. waterfall, agile, iterative)
  • Knowledge of various automation libraries and frameworks, such as PACT, Mountebank, ng test, Selenium, Robots, etc
  • Familiarity with the full web stacks, single page applications and microservice architecture.
  • Experience developing internal business applications and business integration
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge in analysis, design, and programming
  • Scrum Developers Certification or equivalent
  • Participation in multiple full system implementation life cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support)
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong analytical skills and a demonstrable bias toward action.
