This is a remote oppurtunity - Client is seeking Lead's & Architects. Position Summary Candidate should have strong knowledge of cloud native architectures and patterns, and experience designing robust and scalable solutions that can adapt with business requirements. As a Google Cloud Platform Enterprise Architect, candidate will be working directly with multiple stakeholders to design and implement systems to solve complex and challenging problems, strong collaboration to unite the stakeholders and delivering the results. Primary Responsibilities
- Learn and understand the business strategy and define the technology systems architecture to support that strategy
- Design scalable and adaptable systems to meet business strategies for now and in the future.
- Recommend third party systems that meet business requirements and integrate them into the enterprise architecture.
- Align the business mission, strategy, and processes of the application to its technological architecture.
- Create architectural artifacts to communicate design and strategies to engineers and stakeholders.
- Act as the go-to resource for the delivery teams vetting technical approaches.
- Advocate/recommend/demonstrate best practices for performance, reliability, scalability, security, and reusability.
- Provide architectural and design oversight for all new and ongoing application development.
- Facilitate discussions and resolve conflicts around technical approaches, designs, and issues.
- Perform architecture reviews for more complex or higher-risk changes
- Work in collaboration with the engineers and product owners to clearly understand business, customer and product needs that will drive architectural requirements.
- Ensure technical designs comply with architecture guiding principles.
- Ensuring that uniform enterprise-wide application design standards are maintained.
- Evangelize key architecture and partner to educate other team members about concepts and standards throughout the application delivery.
- Hands-on in any of the high level object oriented or functional programming languages
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
- 8+ years of experience in software development, preferred
- Demonstrable understanding of architectural principles, patterns, and tenets along with industry best practices for security
- Demonstrate proven expertise in microservices, digital transformation especially within a enterprise environment
- Experience designing cloud native systems involving API, API gateways, system integration, SSO/SAML/OAUTH and encryption technology especially in Google Cloud Platform
- Proven experience utilizing multiple service offerings from Google Cloud Platform (e.g. cloud run, cloud functions, GKE, cloud storage etc. but not limited to these)in designing solutions
- Experience communicating and documenting architectural approach and designs
- Experience with CI/CD process and tool-sets (e.g. Ansible, Jenkins etc.) preferred.
