If so, Manhattan Beer Distributors is looking for a Delivery Supervisor.This position is ideal for a capable and ambitious individual accustomed to working in a high volume environment under tight deadlines.How Will You Contribute? Your Main Focus Will Be:
Overseeing the loading of trucks to ensure accuracy of pallets.
Monitoring daily efficiency of the delivery process, ensuring that all customer delivery windows are met.
Managing the routing process for trucks.
Assist Delivery Manager in driving cost control for metrics such as breakage, overtime and reduction of accidents.
Maintaining a safe operating environment for all warehouse crew, ensuring that safety standards and protocol are enforced.
Assist Delivery Manager in implementing and overseeing DOT regulations for drivers. Ensure drivers maintain proper credentials.
Communicating and monitoring standards of professionalism for all customer facing positions and warehouse crew in general.
Overseeing up a crew of up to 60-100 drivers and helpers.
Ensuring that staff complete training requirements.
Position Requirements:
Associate's degree preferred.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Continuous desire to improve.
1 year of direct experience supervising drivers and the delivery process.
Has basic grounding in DOT and OSHA regulations.
Understands the concept of FIFO and has slotting experience.
Experience working with a unionized crew.
Driving experience helpful.
CDL a plus.
Salary: $60,000.00-$65,000.00It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
