Steel Fabrication Company in Homer, NY is seeking an AutoCAD draftsperson with the ability to work from Structural & Architectural drawings and specifications to develop; project submittal drawings, and detailed shop/fabrication drawings.
Must be able to do design, interpret, create accurate drawings, set-up drawing files, create bill of materials, and hardware lists for; industrial & commercial equipment, structural steel, misc. steel (stairs, handrails, guardrails, ladders, mezzanines, platforms), and renovation projects.
Must have 3+ years working industrial/construction experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting, (3D a plus), excel & word computer knowledge, understand OSHA and NYS Building codes, the ability to work independently to complete drawings on a timely basis, with minimal supervision.
