Trademark Homescapes Inc. is seeking an experienced landscaper capable of working as a member of a team as well as individually with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to operate a variety of landscape equipment and has a working knowledge of horticultural practices. This position performs a variety of landscape activities, such as planting, weeding, digging, spreading topsoil and other materials, and hardscape construction under general supervision.
Responsibilities may include:
Assist with the installation of new landscapes and renovations under the guidance of our Site Manager.
Operate small machines, load and unload tools and equipment.
Move and install soil, mulch, and plant material to construct landscape gardens and related areas.
Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to back hoes, skid steers, tillers, weed eaters, chain saws, and drills.
Performs planting and related activities.
Moves materials and equipment and performs related duties to assist in landscaping and hardscaping.
Hauls or spreads topsoil, gravel, sand, mulch, or related materials using wheelbarrows and rakes.
Hand-finishes grade, and apply seed, straw, or sod.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
Maintains assigned equipment and notifies the team leader of needed repairs.
Perform tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Responds politely to client inquiries and projects a professional image.
Qualifications:
Minimum one year of experience in the landscape/construction industry.
Valid Driver’s License.
Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
Effective verbal communication skills.
Time management skills.
Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
Physical fitness is required to carry out strenuous tasks and work in various outdoor conditions.
