Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer will support equipment-related projects within the Fermentation Pilot Plant. This role ensures technical excellence in operations, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This engineer will collaborate closely with the process team to troubleshoot, optimize, and document fermentation processes and equipment performance.Key Responsibilities Interpret scientific and engineering principles for fermentation manufacturing.Translate process documentation into field execution strategies.Co-author and revise operational instructions and production procedures.Provide technical support for troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.Execute fermentation tasks: tank discharge, material handling, equipment cleaning, in-process testing.Offer 24/7 technical support for daily operations.Participate in weekly process team meetings and huddles.Understand and apply operational control strategies related to equipment.Lead/support documentation for equipment events, CAPAs, and change controls.Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of pilot plant equipment.Support process validation, preventive maintenance planning, and spare parts management.Ensure compliance with safety protocols (LOTO, line breaking, etc.).
