Position Summary:

Our organization is on a multi-year journey to transform our Global HR data & analytics technology services with self-serve & API driven Big Data operational & analytics platform. The person who is selected for this role will have an opportunity to lead the shaping of Global HR Data & Analytics services within the Bank.

The Big Data Engineering Manager will function as overall design and development leader and requires advance level technical expertise in end-to-end Hadoop technology stack across multiple dimensions including solution architecture, data engineering, application support, platform and infrastructure acumen , capacity planning, resiliency and scalability of highly complex eco-system

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in standing up multiple large-scale Big data operational & analytics platform, translating business requirements to scalable & sustainable technical solutions and building high performing technology development teams.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of experience building & leading high performing technology development teams• 5+ years of proven history of leading large-scale Big Data implementations• 5+ years of experience building, designing and architecting enterprise solutions with core technology tools Oracle, SQL or NoSql Databases.• 5+ years developing software in PL/SQL, C, C, Java, Shell script, Scala, Ruby, Python, etc.• 5+ years of hands on experience with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Sentry, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie, MapReduce, S3, Ozone, Zaloni or similar technologies• Experience building a unified data and analytics ecosystem that drives improved business decisions supported by transformative emerging technology capabilities• Work history demonstrating a sense of personal accountability to drive execution from start to finish• Experience building & delivering data technology road map balancing the long-term "big picture" and short-term needs• Experiencemanagingdesign &development teams to realize short-term needs whilebalancing the long-term "big picture" strategy• Proven ability to drive development best practices and operational excellence across a large portfolio set• Advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes great design, engineering, and organizational practices.• Proficient in data regulations and best practices in data management and governance• Expert communications skills - able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate technical development to businessimpact/benefits• Expert Presentation skills, including the ability to distill complex issues into simple, compelling messages in presentations.• Ability to influence and drive technology leadership across a portfolio of applications.• Excellent relationship management and communication skills and who can navigate the organization, challenges the status quo to transform the business and bring multiple stakeholders together to achieve strategic business goals.• Strong influencing skills and the ability to assess key stakeholder perspectives and adapt style to navigate cultural diversity• Effectively communicate status, project findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and clients.

Desired Skills:

• Extensive understanding of emerging data & analytics technology• Financial Service/Banking industry experience• Experience with traditional relational database management systems like SQL & Oracle, etc.• Strong working knowledge of business information systems and analytics (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Alteryx & other related technologies)• Strong working knowledge of Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence & other Big Data analytics technologies• Strong working knowledge of Data integration & microservices technologies like Mulesoft or other similar technologies• Experience successfully planning, influencing, and leading architecture initiatives across IT and business organizations and teams.
