Network Tools Engineer - Core Technology Infrastructure

Job Description:

This role sits in critical Technology Infrastructure Division and Global Network Services team. The mission of the team is to enable Data Driven decision and provide programmable secure Network Services. This individual will be responsible for:
  • Participation in the PARB process (Product Architecture Review Board) - this process regulates how products are introduced to the bank and ensures proper configuration and support are in place before being put into production
  • Build integrations with other adjacent software ecosystems
  • Drive Innovation to improve Data Quality with aspirational goal of 100% Data Quality
  • Work with BMC Discovery team to test new products and resolve issues
  • Fulfill Business as Usual requests to update Configuration Item records
  • Assist with supplier feed to ensure that new products run properly through integration
  • Analyze BMC CMDB data quality and updated as necessary to meet year end targets
  • Support BMC CMDB upgrades by completing testing for existing and new capabilities
  • Develop and run reports as necessary to meet customer requests
  • Build scripts to automate data analysis where ever possible , preferably using Python
  • Ensure incremental and iterative approach to deliver projects (Agile methodology)

    Required Skills:
    • Understanding of ITIL processes with focus on asset management and change management
    • Working knowledge of network devices, circuits and their functions
    • Basic understanding of automation in data analysis and reporting using python or any programming language

    Desired Skills:
    • Experience in Python programming is preferred. Experience with BMC Remedy
    • Excel / PowerPoint skills
    • Experience in Agile Delivery is a plus.

Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel. Typically 5 or more years of systems engineering experience.
