Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.The Compliance Associate will function as a member of the Compliance Program Maintenance (CPM) pillar of the Governance Risk and Controls (GRC) Team. The mandate for this pillar is to support the Corporate & Investment Banking compliance program by assisting with the design, implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive compliance oversight program that will: (1) establish and maintain corporate governance programs; (2) support Compliance and other support group partners with the enterprise-wide enhancement of compliance structures due to new laws, regulations, Corporate and other requirements and new products; (3) assist with the enhancement and maintenance of a fully integrated and streamlined compliance program oversight process; and (4) provide subject matter expertise to Compliance and other support group partners.More specifically, this Compliance Associate will (1) assist with regulatory monitoring and performing initial impact assessments and/or assessing the applicability of regulatory changes affecting the Compliance Program; (2) assist with the implementation of new laws, regulations, policies, Corporate requirements and new products; (3) assist with maintaining the Wells Fargo enterprise risk management systems (SHRP-Shared Risk Platform) on behalf of the CIB Compliance Program, and providing credible challenge to Compliance Officers and other support group partners relative to the data points related to obligations reported in those systems; (4) assist with contributions to corporate compliance escalation process such as the Monthly Risk Profile Report, SHRP, etc. as well as provide transparency with respect to program and emerging risks to CIB LOB and Compliance leadership as needed; and (5) assist with the implementation of the new RCSA future state program for Risk Identification and Assessment. In the role, this Compliance Associate will be required to learn about industry regulations, Corporate and other policies and standards as well as line of business operational procedures for a wide range of products and services. Key factors for success include strong analytical skills, facility for conducting independent research and preparing written reviews. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired QualificationsExperience with Wells Fargo risk systems such as Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) and Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)

Strong analytical skills

Experience conducting independent research

Experience preparing written reviews for Sr Management; reporting experience

Ability to prioritize work to successfully handle competing demands
