Description Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and execute our payroll processes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Workday and experience processing payroll for over 500 employees. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll operations, compliance with relevant regulations, and exceptional employee service.Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for over 500 employees using Workday, ensuring all data is correct and up to date.

Data Management: Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or deductions.

Compliance: Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings and reporting.

Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees promptly and professionally.

Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports, summaries, and analysis for management and auditing purposes.

Benefits Coordination: Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate deductions for benefits, retirement plans, and other employee programs.

System Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and optimization of the Workday payroll system, including system upgrades and configuration changes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, with specific expertise in handling payroll for over 500 employees.

Workday Expertise: Proficient in using Workday for payroll processing and management.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.

Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Knowledge: Thorough understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.

Attributes: Highly organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-service orientation.
