Job Description:

The Risk Product Owner supports end-to-end management of risk activities that require remediation and effectively drive accountability to appropriate individuals. This role manages multiple related and interdependent projects and technology change initiatives that have a significant impact on how the company does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. The Product Owner influences and negotiates both vertically and horizontally to obtain or leverage necessary resources, and has the ability to analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches and facilitate implementation. o Clarifies strategic direction for the product to the responsible technology team o With guidance, communicates the product vision to stakeholders and the technology team o Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problem o Creates and prioritizes work for each assigned team, collaborating with cross-functional teams o Creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog o Refines stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready" stories to load the next 1-2 sprints o Works with the development team(s) to determine and communicate timelines o Reviews and accepts stories and makes onthe-spot decisions regarding scope and requirements o Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through an advanced understanding of the business o Effectively communicates with leaders, managers, peers and business partners on strategy, products, timelines and support needed Responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring products using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure efficient and effective project completion o Supports Agile project documentation and activities o May create user guides and/or be responsible for providing information used in procedural updates.

Required Skills:
  • 5 years prior experience managing process improvements, driving transformational change, or managing/building solutions.
  • Demonstrated success working in Matrix organization and indirectly managing teams.
  • Ability to influence partners and drive change across a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize, and flex in a deadline drive environment.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills o Ability to work in a fast paced and complex environment.
  • Proficient in problem analysis and solution design.
  • Demonstrated dependability and ability to act with sense of urgency.
  • Ability to influence decisions effectively.
  • Good business judgment for risk/reward trade offs.

Desired Skills
  • Agile Project Management experience /certifications.
  • Pega or other workflow tool experience is a plus o Change Management experience.
  • Previous experience driving the execution of projects involving technical topics (technology platforms, analytics).
