Rapidly growing small animal hospital in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician or experienced veterinary assistant. Applicant must have a working knowledge of restraint, medications, diseases, client education, medical, surgical and dental procedures. Must show proficiency in all radiological and clinical lab diagnostics INCLUDING urinalysis, parasitology and hematology. Must have the ability to calculate drugs, anesthetize, intubate, monitor and recover a patient undergoing a surgical procedure. Must demonstrate above average proficiency in the placement of IV catheters, venipuncture, and administering injections. Should be willing to be cross trained fully in reception duties such as scheduling, answering phones, and client communication. Will also assist in opening and closing hospital, cleaning duties and maintain hospital equipment and cleanliness. Able to perform other duties as assigned. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds alone. Compensation is dependent on experience. We are looking for someone who is experienced, confident, learns quickly, gets along with everyone and is great at multitasking.
Qualifications: High School Diploma. Must have graduated from an AVMA Accredited Veterinary Technology Program and be Licensed as a Veterinary Technician or experienced assistant.
