job title: Furniture Appliance Delivery/Installation Contractor owner-operator with a 15,16, 20, 24, for 26 foot box truck
We are looking for a responsible owner operator contractor to transport, deliver, assemble, and/or install household furniture and appliances promptly to our customers.
Must have your own 15,16, 20, 24, for 26 foot box truck; and be insured and bonded. MUST BE ABLE TO PASS CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRIVING HISTORY BACKGROUND CHECK!
Responsibilities:
This is a full time position in the metropolitan Charlotte area, which entails early morning hours and Saturdays, working on average 5 days a week. You will make sure all tools, supplies, and components needed for scope of work are on your truck. You can lift at least 60 pounds with ease and follow all safety guidelines. You will load and unload the truck efficiently without causing damage to property or merchandise. You will load, unload, move, unbox, assemble furniture, and install appliances. You will show up to work on time, be clean, and professionally and courteously communicate with our staff and customers.
Skills:
Proven working experience as a furniture assembler and appliance installer.
Valid professional driver’s license
Good driving record with no DUI's or DWI'S
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Follow routes and time schedules
Complete logs and reports
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
The position includes loading and unloading, unboxing, furniture assembly, and appliance installation.
Must be able to pass background check
Pay: $2750.00 up to $3750 a week
