Job Title: Automation EngineerJob DescriptionThe facility is a 457,000 square foot aseptic 'fill and finish' site responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. When you work here, you will join a global network of manufacturing professionals focused on several key final production processes, including sterile formulation, filling, inspection, device assembly, and packaging.Responsibilities
Support and maintain automation and control systems for manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation and batch processes.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production.
Operate and inspect manufacturing equipment as part of routine duties.
Adjust schedule to work with colleagues in different time zones when necessary.
Travel domestically and internationally as required to support operations.
Essential Skills
BA/BS in engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-5 years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, and/or packaging systems.
Proficiency in programming PLCs, particularly Siemens and Allen Bradley.
Experience with SCADA, GE iFIX, GMP, pharma, controls engineering, design, Siemens PLC, electrical engineering, and HMI.
Knowledge of SCADA, MES, Oracle, and MS SQL.
Proven expertise in project management, planning, organization, and project execution.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to work in an open office environment with potential distractions.
Flexibility to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation.
Capability to work on a rotational on-call schedule with remote access.
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite role in a pharmaceutical manufacturing area, supporting a 24/7 run facility. The position involves working on the engineering side to support the business, with a focus on aseptic processes, clean utilities, and inspection. The role primarily operates on the first shift with a one-week on-call rotation.
