- Bachelor's degree in MIS/Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years leading complex IT projects/initiatives
- Strong technical exposure and experience in web application development; Content Management (CMS or SDL Tridion) a plus
- Robust critical thinking skills coupled with a desire for growth, to learn and to engage with peers in technical and design discussions
- Hands on experience running technology initiatives, including planning, execution, and delivery
- Experience leading, influencing and collaborating in a matrix-managed environment and across multiple, diverse groups
- Strong analytical skills and ability to tackle issues and work through ambiguous situations by making timely decisions based on facts, knowledge, experience and judgment
- Experience in presenting technical needs and capabilities to non-technical team members, product owners, and partners
- Ability to utilize a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions
- Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to the other technologists within the wider Digital Platforms Technology team
- Experience leading an Agile team; Scrum Master Certification, a plus
- Experience with Jira and/or Confluence
- Ability to successfully deliver mid to large-scale initiatives by empowering and supporting your scrum team and by helping to identify and remove impediments

- Ability to provide strong support to Quality Assurance and Product partners throughout all testing phases, including participating in triaging system defects in production and non-production environments
- Your experience with the following will be a plus:
- Ability to perform technical analysis of sophisticated Web application development concepts (Spring MVC, Spring Core, XML, CSS, etc.)
- Experience with database query tools / Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Content Management Systems including SDL Tridion
- Experience with Java and Confluence
- Working understanding of QA automation
- Collaborates with product and technology partners to develop solutions and overall strategies that address complex business needs and opportunities
- Accountable for the successful delivery of new NetBenefits features and functions, including design, development, quality assurance and production release
- Championing and driving development standard methodologies which will improve quality and efficiency within your team and the Digital Platforms organization
- You will serve as a leader and mentor to other technologists within the Digital Platforms organization
- Extensive knowledge of internet, mobile, and application architecture, as well as current and emerging technologies
- Full grasp of the software development process including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning
- Ability to communicate effectively in various settings; one-on-one, small and large groups, with peers, and senior management
