- Ability to understand OOO concepts and ability to read Java. Wants them to be able to look deep into the code and explain beyond the textbook definition of programming concepts.
- 5+ years of experience, with a focus in financial services applications (would be a major plus)

- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of experience, with a focus in financial services applications

- Ability to apply a long-term mentality to help produce scalable and maintainable technology solutions
- Excellent analytical, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Passion to provide guidance on standard methodologies and mentoring support to the other technologists within the wider Digital Platforms Technology team
- Experience working within an Agile software development framework
- Experience collaborating in a team environment to analyze, develop, deploy, and support key applications and features
- A demonstrable understanding of the Agile software development methodology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, allowing you to interview business partners to understand initiative objectives, use cases and requirements
- Strong analytical skills, enabling you to research, document and review existing systems and recommend designs for achieving business requirements
- Proficiency in assisting in the writing, understanding, and sizing of user stories
- Ability to diagram business processes and system workflows
- Willingness to actively participate in defining project scope/backlog, while recommending solutions to business and technology issues
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt and thrive to meet the needs of a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Ability to provide strong support to Quality Engineering and Product partners throughout all testing phases, including participating in triaging system defects in production and non-production environments
- Familiarity with the following areas is a plus:
- Ability to perform technical analysis of sophisticated Web application development concepts (Spring MVC, Spring Core, XML, CSS, etc.)
- Experience with database query tools / Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Java and Confluence
- Working understanding of QA automation
- Experience with content management systems including SDL Tridion
