Qualifications Required:

Associates degree in technical or engineering field

Minimum of 5 years experience

Must be able to work on a 12-hour rotating shift

Preferred:

Experience in Maintenance within a heavy manufacturing environment

Knowledge in PLCs, Drives, Servos, mechanical systems, and fluid power

Experience in troubleshooting

Experience with specifying, installing, start-up and operation of A/C inverter drives and D/C drives including AllenBradley (PLC 5, Control Logix), Mitsubishi, Siemens, and General Electric

Responsibilities

1.) Updating Firmware in all Control Devises (PLCs, Drives, HMIs, etc.)

2.) Roll out safety interlocks

3.) Quality improvements on production floor equipment

4.) Assist Process Engineering with pilot trials

5.) Manage battery replacement and program backup for all the machines on the production floor

6.) Assist Mechanical & Electrical Engineering on capital or improvement projects & tire trials

7.) Works closely with maintenance staff

8.) Come up with improvement ideas to reduce machine down time

The rotating schedule is a 28-day cycle that allows for a period of 7 days off in a row every 28 days (14 days off total, 14 days working). The position is hands-on, providing support to Production and Maintenance with controls issues, while also assisting Engineers with capital projects and improvements.
