Summary About the Position: This position is located at the US ARMY 1ST SPECIAL FORCES COMMAND ACOFS, G-1 in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Participates in the planning, developing, and evaluating organizational development functions, including developing recommendations for improving the complex Career Program processes. Plans and/or conducts assessments and evaluations of overall Career Program and leader development programs. Evaluates problems, deficiencies, and inadequacies in the administration of the Career Program and leader development programs. Facilitates a wide-ranging variety of professional development program opportunities to include other essential programs to enhance the effectiveness of the workforce. Performs liaison functions (internally and with the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center (CPAC). Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience in 1) demonstrate the use of civilian personnel laws, regulations, policies, precedents, standardized rules, procedures, terminology, requirements, and an extensive body of personnel rules; 2) assist in management of civilian personnel training program for a major subordinate command ; 3) maintain and update manpower and personnel data for the organization; 4) oral communication to make decisions, resolve problems or discrepancies; 5) written communication to prepare briefing presentation, training material, forms, and narrative reports, in a clear, concise, and tactful manner; 6) Researches, develops, and writes policies dealing with personnel and training functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
