L.J. Rogers, a family-owned and operated transportation company in Mebane, NC. is searching for a Senior Accountant. In addition to our transportation services, additional divisions included fleet maintenance, and real estate.
The Senior Accountant will be working closely with the rest of the accounting team as well as various leaders throughout the company. The candidate must show a strong understanding of accounting principles, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
<>Various Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Month-end and Year-end close: Assist with the preparation and completion of monthly and year-end closing procedures.
Perform Bank and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Work with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
Intercompany transactions
Various Daily and Weekly Reporting related to both financial, maintenance, and trucking information.
Payroll & AP for the Maintenance Division
Assist with Audits
The Company uses a TMS (Transportation Management System) as well as QuickBooks to manage the accounting functions.
<>Qualifications and Requirements
The Senior Accountant position requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Three to five years of progressive accounting experience will be required.
Strong Excel skills are essential (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
